The works at Yeovil Pen Mill STW involved the construction of a range of reinforced concrete structures typical of an extension / upgrade to an existing treatment plant.

The principle structure was a 11m diameter Humus Tank with conical base and integral internal launder channel.  The walls were formed monolithically with the launder soffit and weir wall utilizing the EFCO redi radius circular shuttering system and poured in 6 plan segments. This structure was completed in just over 8 weeks.

The remaining structures comprising; High rate Filter base, Chemical Dosing Tank slab, Distribution Chamber, Feed Pumping Station, MCC kiosk base, Odour Control Base, outfall chamber were completed in 28 weeks.
